It's well written; if you're a Christian or Zionist you'll probably enjoy it. The book centers on theological, social, and political issues more than individuals' character arc. It's basically lord of the rings meets the book of revalation aka apocalypse. I appreciated it but I can easily imagine Moslem or Atheist readers might find it off-putting. Buddhists would be likely to simply ignore it. Well, if you want a political play-out of the book of revalation in a contemporary context with overtones of lord of the rings here it is. Some readers will love it, I've tried to let you know whether that is likely to be you or not. An entertaining tale with morals i.e. a morality play.

This book caught my attention because I've always been curious about different interpretations of Revelation. The author does a pretty good job mixing modern day stuff with biblical prophecy, and I liked how the main character is a veteran dealing with PTSD - it felt more relatable than your typical chosen one story.

What really stuck with me was how the book explores faith when everything seems hopeless. Peter's journey from struggling with his past to accepting this huge responsibility made me think about my own relationship with faith. I mean, we all wonder sometimes if there's really a bigger plan, right? The whole concept of God giving humanity one last chance was thought-provoking.

The Jesus Ring is a wonderful depiction of the End Times fictionalized. Mr. Harry stayed true to the biblical revelation of what the world and people will experience. I praise Mr. Harry for not cheapening his story with gratuitous sex, violence, and cursing. I enjoyed reading The Jesus Ring and look forward to reading more from this author.

I highly recommend this book! I really liked this story's take on end times events. As someone who loves the Bible, I really like the way Daniel told this story without taking a road away from the Bible. I LOVED the fact it had NOTHING ugly in it at all! Disclaimer: I received this book as part of GoodRead's First Reads program.
The title itself is eye-catching so even before starting the book had my attention. For historical religious fiction readers, this book would make an ideal read. The book has provided a modern interpretation of the events from the book of Revelations at the end times of the world and how the world will look like according to today's scenario.
Little did Peter knew that he would find a abondoned ring on a beach that was that was put on by God's own son. He then embarks on a journey to fulfil god's will to gather a army to fight against the satan himself. Daniel Harry does a wonderful job of captivating the flow of the story and keeping the readers on the edges of their seats. I would really like a movie adaptaion of this book.
Although I wish the characters could have been more developed a and give a kind of backstory who are not familiar with biblical stories. All in all it was a great read and really appreciate the author for giving me an opportunity to read and review this book.

It was fascinating to read something that was made in context with the bible. As there have been many books that take the bible as reference for their work, this one also did their own interpretation of it. Who's to know that this wouldn't happen. Maybe a ring would really wash on shore and a chosen one would find it. The beginning of beginnings.

It was interesting to read about how they tackled about food when their senses were heightened. It had a good point and it gave me a different light that might make me never see food the same way again.

True, that the story of revelations can be very frightening. It became my greatest fear once: the possibility of seeing the world ending before your very eyes. Now, reading it unfolding in my imagination, it was a thrill. Still a bit scary to think, but it was a pleasurable ride through the pages.

Over all it was a good read.

I have received the book for free from the author in exchange for an honest review.
The title of the book The Jesus Ring immediately grabbed my attention.
The book Revelations can be quite confusing and as far as the end times are concerned, many different interpretations exists. This book is a modernized version of what the end times might look like.
Peter Christian, POW suffering from PTSD, discovers a ring on the beach. When putting it on, it instantly resizes itself to his finger, and he feels that somehow, he was chosen. He now can communicate directly to God and receives distinct designs for some amazing devices. These devices are used in the battle between God's army and Satan and its imps.
God send various people over his path to help develop and prepare God's army for the battle ahead. Satan's aim like always is to have dominion over the earth and will stop at nothing to achieve this goal.
Using his imps who takes on the appearance of being human, he infiltrates governments and - in this way, spreads his influence - creating riots and turning nations against each other. Eventually leading to the collapse of the money markets.
In the chaos that ensues, Abn Wahid Eazim (or Abaddon, son of Satan), the leader of the Dominus Omnium Church, uses his influence to implement a new monetary system where only those with a mark on their forehead or wrist has access to resources. In this way forcing many to join Satan's forces to survive.
It all leads to a full fledge war between Satan and God's army.
Will God's army win, or will Satan finally rule the earth as is his desire?
Daniel Harry has a vivid imagination if you look at the devices described in this book. And I sure wish some of it exists today. It would make life so much easier for us!
Bearing in mind that this is fiction, readers shouldn't take everything for fact. For example, Harry's take on where dinosaurs came from and how they became extinct.
One ethical question the book did raise in my mind is this: Should God's army hack into a government database? Even though you may say: "All is fair in love and war", this is a human perspective. God commands God's Army, and as such what will His perspective be?
Overall, an enjoyable read!

The Jesus ring is an interesting and frightening in places, interpretation of the events from the book of Revelations at the end times of the world.
When a veteran finds a ring washed up on the beach, he has no idea that the previous wearer was God's own son. Peter is chosen to become a soldier for God in order to give the human race one last chance before Satan takes over completely. God helps him to gather other 'soldiers' and through the touch of the ring they are all transformed physically into God's warriors.
The story has a lovely feeling of family and community running through it and a hope of saving as many people as possible from themselves.
I love the machines that God gives to this group in order to help save mankind. When the money systems around the world collapse, you can believe that people would be made to receive a barcode in order to be able to get food - this barcode is invisible to all except animals and satan's creatures and marks the people out as fodder!
I enjoyed the book yet at the same time could see how Revelations could become reality so thank goodness this is fiction.

I'm generally not interested in religious fiction being somewhat orthodox, but I've read a few of Dan Harry's other books in the past and have found them engaging and interesting. I was rewarded by the author again as I found his story very enjoyable. Dan is not a cloying man; this is a story of action where a hero takes a stand and literally fights a palpable evil the only way he knows how with the fate of mankind at risk. I'll call it a page turner and tell you its worth your time if your looking for an exciting read that puts a fresh twist on good vs evil.
